No Fuss Scotland is the result of all the success and hard work since that chance conversation at the Fort William World Cup in 2004. From humble beginnings, offering 10 Under the Ben to the masses as our first event, is now rapidly approaching its 10th anniversary. A decade of organising events has seen No Fuss amass a wealth of experience that no longer simply encompasses race organisation. While the people behind No Fuss haven't changed, their creation is now altogether a bigger beast.
Organising an exciting and professional event, where competitors are penalised for taking things too seriously is still at the heart of what we do, so expect to see plenty of race events in 2014.
Expanding into various areas of expertise was a natural progression based on 10 years of experience and a lifetime of living in the most beautiful place on Earth. Location scout and mountain guide services are the result of mucking about in the wilder places as kids. This knowledge has only been augmented by mucking about in the same places as adults. Our event, timing system and stage management, First Aid/Medical, marketing, marquee hire and web development services have been refined in-house since 2004.

We have a good selection of high quality sound and lighting systems for hire, we are part of a larger network of companies that can get your event done with, yep you guessed it No Fuss
Whether you want us to manage run and master the technical side of your event or just supply the equipment it is entirely up to you. We can supply you with single items of sound, lighting or power/Signal distribution or full systems, stages, structures and generators
We are now offering a unique alternative to your standard marquee. Anyone organising an event who is looking for a space with a difference, look no further! Our Saddlespan Tent is an affordable function space, easy to erect on hard or soft ground and can be used in three different ways. On it's own as perhaps a covered transition area for a sporting event, with one end attached as a stunning stage cover or both ends attached for a fully enclosed, no pole obstructed area.
We can dress the Saddlespan internally with stunning lighting effects to suit your requirements. It has 2,400sq ft of useable area and is very stable in high winds.

Mike Pescod is our mountain safety guru and has an impressive array of qualifications at the highest level. He is an IFMGA Mountain Guide, UK Canyon Guide and MBLA Mountain Bike Leader. This is combined with over 20 years experience of looking after people in challenging and hazardous situations. Managing risk in difficult environments is what Mike does best, be it in the mountains in summer or winter, sea cliffs and canyons.
Whether you're a solo climber needing an ice climbing guide up the north face of Ben Nevis, a small group looking for some canyoning fun down the Allt na h'Uamha or a party wanting some guided mountain biking in one of the most beautiful surroundings on Earth, Mike is the man for the job!
We offer a range of sports timing solutions based on our Sportident timing system, which offers the maximum degree of flexibility. Each sporting event has a challenge in providing results in a format that is affordable and friendly to use for the organiser and the participant. We are always researching new alternatives so if you have a requirement that doesn’t quite fit, please do talk to us as we can work with you to develop a bespoke solution.
Timing is just the start – it’s what gets done with the information that gets really exciting. Adding a start station for a run means that everyone gets an individual chip time as well as the overall gun time. Put down some extra timing stations and you can have transition times in a multisport race or intermediate split times in a 10k, half marathon or marathon.

Muddy Medics is a combination of Fiona and Chris' wealth of expertise in dealing with the sick and injured in a wide range of situations. Both active emergency nurses and members of the Lochaber Mountain Rescue team, they have experience of dealing with large festival event medicine. Chris has also been at the sharp end of medical progression as a Captain in the Defence Medical Services.
As a team Fi & Chris work together to plan, implement & facilitate Emergency Care for the events they are requested to provide cover for. They can provide Emergency Practitioners & Trauma Care Providers with experience of Event Medicine. Each team member has individual Professional Indemnity through their Professional Body & work within their Scope of Professional Practice.
They can tailor their provision according to the needs of the event & will provide mobile Medics or in situ Static Care as required. Dependant on the size of the event they will also liaise with the Emergency Services from the initial planning phase through to the set up & provision of Emergency Care. They pride themselves in their professional conduct & will interact with their colleagues to facilitate the highest levels of Pre Hospital Emergency Care, wherever possible trying to minimise the impact that an event can have on the local resources by effective triage & wherever possible provide “on site” care.

This is where it all began. Since 2004 we have been committed to organising and running race events that offer something a little different to the norm. 10 Under the Ben is still our flagship event and will see its 10th anniversary in 2014. Organising an exciting and professional event, where competitors are penalised for taking things too seriously is still at the heart of what we do, so expect to see plenty of race events in 2014.
Many of the usual suspects will make an appearance next season, with a few exciting new events to sink your teeth into. Rest assured, you won't come away from any one of our challenges without getting impatient for next year's event to come around. We're in the process of finalising another calendar of events, so watch this space!
